Default Is it live or is it still taped?

Is TNA live now or is it still taped several weeks in advance like it used to be? I'm wondering this as the Hulk Hogan announcement and the lack of his puss being on the show could be the reason for his non-facia-intendo. If TNA is going to be a contender for the ratings game like the WWE, they are going to have to go live. If the show is still taped it's like old news.

The show is indeed still taped, arguably with more of an interval between shows than ever before.

As for chances of TNA going live...surely lower than ever before with Bischoff, Hogan and Lashley on the payroll now. Money is an issue for sure and they save a lot on budget taping shows in one session of a few days for showing in later weeks. Business plan wise, perfect.

As a wrestling fan, live is where it's at though for sure and maybe one day, if they feel they can compete, then more shows will be broadcast live.

WCW did the exact same thing back in the early 90's. They used MGM studios as their broadcasting home as well, and they would tape several episodes of WCW World Wide in one day. Then as Bischoff came in and began to get the ratings up Ted Turner was then willing to invest more money into the company, which allowed WCW to go live each week and this is when the Monday Night Wars took off in 1995. It is not going to happen instantly, it is definitely going to be a slow building project, but hopefully with the help of Hogan and Bischoff maybe TNA can get it's Thursday night ratings up where they need to be and within the next couple of years maybe we can see TNA Impact go live and possibly start to give WWE a little competition.
