As posted earlier, Jim Neidhart worked the TNA Impact taping tonight for the episode that will air on 11/12. Neidhart was brought in as part of a new storyline for Jay Lethal where he faces off against different "legends." I am told the storyline was something that was in the works before the Hulk Hogan deal went down last week, so the two issues are independent of each other. Other "legendary" names will be coming in as well.
LOL! This is such an original gimmick I can't believe that no other company has ever used this angle before to put over a wrestler. Oh wait a minute! WWE did this angle with Orton only a few years back, he faced many legends and RKO'd them earning the nickname the Legend Killer.
Hopefully we will finally see the end of Black Machismo after this angle. Lethal should try to be himself rather than imitate another wrestler and then use another wrestlers storyline aswell.
Is it just me or does this angle/gimmick sound way too much like Orton's legend killer gimmick?
its exactly what it sounds like, perhaps they dont know what to do with him and creed so they'll break them up and have jay try this thing, but i doubt it'll really take off because it is such a knock off and i get the feeling most tna fans are getting tired of the copycat act. jay was great when he was just himself and quite honestly the who gimmick should not have lasted this long, its almost like if he doesnt do these b.s. bits then he'll be axed which would be the next nail in the tna coffin
Actually KFC, when I read this, I thought of it as a comedy act, mostly because of Lethal's gimmick and him calling people the names of old school wwf guys. Imagine Lethal's surprise when finds that he IS going to face old school wwf wrestlers! haha! So, I'm not so sure it will be a legend killer type gimmick, but I could see this ending the Black Machismo gimmick at the end of this storyline's run. I really do think it will be a comedic angle. We shall see when the episode airs next week! =] I'm looking forward to it actually! I heard Neidhart is still in very good ring shape!
Orton did it.
Jericho just did it.
Frontline was fighting legends.
What's with all this "respect the legends!" feuds?
Meh...Cheap and easy way to put Lethal over.

I liked the Black Machismo gimmick, but only because Lethal could do a Macho Man impersonation so well... but I always wanted to see him in his own gimmick.
I think this will be more comedic than anything too, and I hope that the Machismo gimmick ends with this angle, and we see the emergence of a new - original Jay Lethal.
Only difference is that Orton was played up as a ruthless heel who literally kicked the holy crap out of genuine legends. Lethal appears to be just wrestling them with no real heat behind it.
I would count Neidhart as a legend for sure. He was one half of one of the greatest tag teams. He is clearly not the greatest of all time but I would defiently rate him higher than other past wrestlers who claim to be legends.

Probably just a way to squash another talented wrestlers image, just in time for TNA to give him his release from the company. Lets be honest, neither Jay Lethal nor Consequences Creed seem to be doing much of anything and with the new signs and the amount of money they are going cost I wouldn't doubt for a second that either Lethal or Creed would be some of the first ones on the chopping block.

I don't see you would think Jim Neidhart isn't a legend? I mean true the man wasn't as famous as the rest of the Harts but I don't think that changes the fact that he was an integeral part to the whole Hart era.
