I just finished reading bret harts book. It was a very good book but there were some problems with it.Ok no 1 bret acted like he knew everything about wrestling. No 2 he was acting like everyone was always wrong and he was right.
Ok so i'm not hating on Bret i think hes a a great superstar.
So what do you think of the book
I am a big fan of wrestlers books and found that Bret's was one of the most indepth and well written books. When I had finnished the book I felt like I had read a real wrestling tale and had new found respect for Bret. Though I agree with how it did seem as though Bret felt like he was always right, he didn't really ever admit to being wrong about anything. Though with any wrestlers book, it is always one wrestler's opinion on things and Bret's opinion is very strong. When Bret talks in interviews or appreances I have always got the impression that he feels he is owed something by the buisness, after the screwjob and his brothers death. It is very well known of the heartbreak and troubles that Bret has faced in his career and personal life and the fact that he talks so openly about them and doesn't hold back on anything really made me enjoy this book. Compared to the wrestlign books avaialble I would say this book is a must read.
Yeah, it's a good book. It's all from his point of view in wrestling, and what he thought. Sure he always seemed to say everyone was wrong but, it's still a good book to read. It's all in his view and what he thought that's all.

im not saying it was a bad book i was always reading it. its just i didnt like some things he and his family did
Well it's his opinion, his point of view, so i'd expect him to say stuff that will show him in a good light, you've just got to make sure you consider the other side of things also. I'd like to read it, but my wrestling books are limited to SCSA, The Rocks and two of Mick Foleys.

I too loved this book. I feel Bret "Hitman" Hart is not as respected as Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, but he very well should be. Bret Hart carried the WWE in the 90's, with out Bret Hart Shawn Michaels I feel wouldn't be as over as he wasat the time, that's my opinion. The book itself is well written and yes at times he did come off as never being wrong.
It's just a damn shame the guy was screwed around by the business he loved so much, from being screwed by the WWE (I also feel Bret was wrong for not doing the job and I'm surprised he doesn't see it that way),the death of his brother Own Hart, to WCW not knowing what to do with Bret Hart (Vince knew it would happen, he said so himself and they didn't) and the Concussion brought on by an inexperienced Bill Goldberg, Finally the Stroke that followed that put the final nail in the coffin on his wrestling career.
I don't think he is owed something, but that man sure does deserve respect and he should be remembered just like Flair , Hogan and Vince McMahon himself.
In another note I love all the wrestlign books I have:
The Stone Cold Truth
If They Only Knew (Chyna)
The Rock Says....
Have a Nice Day: A tale of Blood and Sweatsocks
Foley is Good:And the Real World is Faker than Wrestling
The Hardcore Diaries:By Mick Foley
Batista : Unleashed
To Be The Man:Ric Flair
Kurt Angle : Its True Its True
Sex,Lies and Headlocks:The Real Story behind Vince Mcmahon and the WWF
Bret "Hitman" Hart: My Life in The Cartoon World of Wrestling
All of them are a great insite into pro wrestling and what it takes , and how much you need to watch your back.
