update - UNDERTAKER / JERICHO will NOT face at Wrestlemania XXVI.
As previously predicted by me and many others, it seemed as Undertaker would wrestle Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania XXVI. But as the two are meeting on this coming episode of Smackdown, this is most likely not to happen at WM. Take my word on this. So I guess the only possibility is Taker / Cena at WM.
We never know what is going to occur at this weeks Smackdown tapings.
Imagine if Jericho gets a super cheap victory, and then on the road to wrestlemania Taker is the champion, and Jericho pipes up and says "remember when i beat u on smackdown, well i will do it again, but this time it will be at WM 26 and i will break ur streak" and thus at WM 26, it becomes Undertaker vs Chris Jericho

I just really hope Taker loses his streak, it's kinda pathetic to me even tho' he is a great wrestler. It's almost like having HHH beating Ric Flair's 16 times World Champion record (which he'd prob do).
I'd just like to see Taker lose just to shaken things up

WWE should not have given away a potential WrestleMania main event by spoiling it with a match on Smackdown, but that can all be sorted by a Big Show run in ending the match in a dq. For Smackdown this week, a tag match instead, Kane and the Undertaker vs Big Show and Chris Jericho.
However that does necessarily end the possibility for it, before the Edge vs Undertaker match at WrestleMania 24, they were in a triple threat at Armageddon 07 (Undertaker vs Batista vs Edge), and this smackdown match could highten the anticipation with just a short match.
With CM Punk out of the title scene, pawing around in the dog house, at the TLC ppv a match between CM Punk and the Undertaker is out the question and Big Show and Undertaker in a TLC would be terrible and so Chris Jericho vs Undertaker is likely for TLC, hopefully after Smackdown they will stay away from each other, Jerishow in the tag scene, Jericho and Big Show do not win the title at survivor series and Undertaker vs Chris Jericho does indeed happen at Mania 26.
From the WWE creative aspect, they want Chris Jericho vs Edge to be at Mania with maybe with the World Title on the line, so that means Chris Jericho and Undertaker can feud now while on the same brand and Undertaker will have another opponent at Mania. Because the draft is in April and Undertaker and Chris Jericho could end up on different brands, nothing wrong with having the match now. Business wise, Chris Jericho vs Undertaker for Mania is the logical option, then Edge and Chris Jericho can move to RAW and feud there after Mania with Edge rumoured to be out for longer and not expected to return by then.
Personally, I wouldn't even want Jericho vs. Taker. I don't even find Jericho entertaining and as talented as he used to be, so I'm happy if this is the case. I would rather have Cena vs. Taker, or Batista vs. Taker again, over Jericho vs. Taker.

This isn't about what anybody wants. This is about fact.

Never know. The WWE had seen Triple H / Orton many times over the past few years, yet it didn't stop them from having them work another match at the last Wrestlemania. Fans may have had mixed reactions to the actual match, but the WWE still booked it and may do it yet again a couple years later.
There are still plenty of possibilities, assuming that Taker will even be able to work a Wrestlemania match this year, including Jericho / Taker. If I recall correctly, the WWE has a roster of more than three wrestlers, including a bunch of new talent they might like to develop through a big profile match with the Undertaker.
They likely won't give away a decisive ending to the free Smackdown TV match. The triple threat match leaves a murky ending in the cards as well. So if that is the Wrestlemania match WWE wanted to book, they could certainly have those two proceed using the two matches as part of a long-term build up.

I believe Batista would be the best choice, his matches against Undertaker are always good and watchable. Edge is another but he is injured and might not make it to Wrestlemania, I'd pick Batista right now and actually have Batista winning.
